piano lessons

This summer my sister-in-law, Wendy, decided to move and didn't have room for her piano. I got lucky and get to store her piano for her. Since James and I moved into our apt. I have had a loaner keyboard, but a real piano is so much more, especially considering my church callings. As of 2005 I have been called to play the piano in one class or another during church. Last year I started a free Tuesday night piano class for the relief society ladies who want to learn more about music and how to play the piano. Our ward(s) need more piano players. For church, I've been called as a missionary to another ward to play the piano for their sacrament meeting (because they have no piano players), then I play the piano for 2 more hours in the primary. All in all, the callings are great! It's a lot easier than early morning seminary teaching. Last week I hosted my very first paid private lesson. It's a very exciting beginning for me.

Nice job Bekah. What a great way to share your talent. I wish I lived closer so I could take your lessons.

That's a great way to share your talents! How come no one plays the piano there? I teach piano lessons as well and I really enjoy it. It's a nice flexible mom job!
