A New Watch

James and I have a favorite Thai restaurant in our old town called Kau Sarn. I particularly love the dessert sticky rice and mango dish. Our new town has a Thai restaurant with food just as good. Turns out the two restaurants are owned by brothers. They also own a store that sells Thai dresses, paintings, and . . . watches. This watch was in a glass case at the Thai restaurant and apparently James noticed me oogling it last time we went out to eat. Yesterday evening, after an extremely long day at work, I came home to the smell of pumpkin curry and sticky rice. In the center of our living room on the table I had takeout sticky rice and mango waiting with a brand new watch. (The living room had been cleaned as well). What a awesome surprise!! not to mention what an awesome husband, thanks Jimmy. I love my new watch.

House up date

It's like playing in a really big sand box right now. Lot's of digging. We even rented big tools to do it for us. It's hard to imagine where everything is going to go, but we've built a retaining wall in the back that will give us some flat area for a back yard. There is a lot of poison oak on the property and James is deathly allergic to the stuff. He's been itching for weeks. We had to cut some trees down and James got his tree climbing in. We're in the process of grading the land, getting soil reports, making sure the ground it solid enough that our house wont slide when we're done. Last weekend we tied rebar for the piers that will go in the ground for the foundation. There are about 60 foundation piers to stick in the ground.

Baby Bump.

I thought I would post a photo of my developing belly. I'm sure all the women w/ kids can relate to the new experience I am having. It's getting difficult to put my socks on in the morning. If I drop something, it's just more convenient to have someone else pick it up. All my cloths are getting stretched to the max, or I can't even attempt to zip, or button them up. Boy this is fun. . . It is fun to feel the baby kick though.
