Question

I'm going to Disney Land next week and am contemplating renting a stroller or bringing my own. I have a bob stroller, should I take a less bulky stroller? (Although the Bob is really comfortable and has a great sunshade for Emerson.) Have any of you taken strollers on plans and have advice? Thanks

Ya, I'm a friend of April Morgans. We took our litte one's to Disney a few years ago. We brought along umbrella strollers. I can't imagine lugging around anything bigger than that. To get into Disney you have to board a shuttle from the parking lot, It was so small that we had to fold up our umbrella strollers and carry the kids while riding it. At each ride there was stroller parking for our strollers. If you want something bigger than an umbrella stroller, I would probably just rent one.

We loved our bigger stroller that we brought. Don't rent one they are way uncomfortable and the lines are sometimes long. Call me sometime this week and I will tell you all about the things we learned last week at Disney!

I have gone to Disney loads of times with kids, and I can honestly say the bigger the stroller the better, especially with such a little one that will be riding in the stroller a lot. Strollers that recline with a sun shade are a MUST for us at Disney!! It ends up being such long days, I just couldn't live without a nice stroller! My sis-in-law brought an umbrella stroller last time we went and really regretted it. She ended up borrowing ours every time her baby needed to nap. I have heard the Disney strollers are quite nice, but I think they are pricey to rent. We looked into it last time and I believe it was something like$30 a day. The park was designed with kids in mind, so everything is pretty much stroller accessible. There is even a special spot on the shuttles for larger folded up strollers. I swear to you that even after my kids don't ride in strollers I am going to bring one just to throw all the crap we accumulate throughout the day into it! Have fun at Disneyland, I'm jealous!!!!

We just went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and I took our stroller, PegPerego. It's not big and bulky but it's bigger then the umbrella and I think you probally will want your stroller that reclines so your baby can sleep and it's nice to have room to carry all the things you need for the baby. FYI they have a baby lounge with rocking chairs, changing tables and highchairs if you want some privacy. I found this out on day two of our three day hopper kinda nice. Also I recommend taking your baby carrier if your little guy is like mine, he like's to be held sometimes. have fun!
